Our Events
Various activities are outlined for each season, and they are known as events. This page contains descriptions and details of upcoming events. Our events include matches and tournaments between different local teams at different times. The following events cover various categories such as the Auskick, junior men club, and Junior female football club.
Our major events in each season include:
Cranbourne Eagles Auskick
Our Auskick calendar usually commences in the third month of the year, and it involves training kids in football. Auskick activities are usually in the evening after schools would have closed.
This event is important and central to the development of the Auskick game. It highlights the merits of Auskick, which include
It Creates Awareness for Football
Although football seems to be the most popular sport worldwide, Australia is involved in other sports activities, especially water sports. Also, Auskick is built on a popular concept – “catch them young” and thus, helps young ones explore the world of football ahead of future career options. Through Auskick, more awareness is created for football games, and this means more revenues are generated.
It Prepares Young Children for A Future Football Career
As a parent, you can help your children create football interests by enrolling them on an Auskick team. They are trained on simple skills of football such as kicking, passing, dribbling, etc. Therefore, an Auskick team may include children of two to four years.
It Exercises Young Children's Brains
Auskick involves exercises and, therefore, enhances a child’s motor skills. It also assists in the development of mental and physical skills.
It Creates Another Special Category
Football leagues are typically classified into senior and junior football leagues. Cranbourne is strictly a junior football club, including under 16, 14, and 12 clubs. Auskick is a special category that includes children from the age of 2 to 8.
Registration for Auskick has begun, and you can find sufficient information on our Auskick page.
Football Coaches Professional Development Night
Another event that takes place on a scheduled date in a year is the coaches’ night. Like other career paths, improvements are important in football. Hence, coaches meet from time to time to deliberate on a possible way forward to certain football administration challenges in Australia. Essentially, the football coach’s night is similar to workshops and seminars held in the business world.
The professional development night attended by coaches is necessary for practical improvements in the football world. As the name suggests, it is a discussion involving all coaches, runners, and assistants that deals with players’ sustainable development in different categories.
The 2021 Coaches Professional Development Night is coming shortly. Hence, we will notify all concerned coaches.
Sunday Match Training
Although there are different scheduled dates for training, Sunday training for under 13 to 17 has become a culture. It involves both the male and female teams.
Also, we schedule our interclub matches on Sundays. Usually, teams are formed based on performance and may also be reshuffled. This training aims to prepare the teams for future tournaments, especially the premiership, and sharpen their skills.
